Hello! It's been a very busy past week! For starters, my boyfriend crashed his car on our way back from a very nice Valentine's day trip to an inn during a little winter storm in our city. Because of the storm, I had to switch my days at work so my weekend has been a bit funky but, back to normal, starting now. I also worked all of my shifts with new coworkers who are all bit intimidating. One is crazy conservative but also he has been doing this job for like 35 years and somehow has amazing patient care? I don't work tomorrow so I won't be working with him. I got coffee after work since I start early in the morning but volunteered to pick up my boyfriend from work so he doesn't have to pay for a ride (he works a bit far from where we live unfortunately). I've been listening to Myrrh.Radio.FM! while writing this, it's very good. Speaking of music, I was hoping to find more so, that is my plan for right now until I feed our cats and go pick up my boyfriend. Feeling inspired.

Hello! I am no longer sick! The flu sucks! I figured I would give a quick update and probably play the Sims4 afterwards before bed. I will be restarting my meds soon, it's been a minute since I have not been on them but I'm hoping to have more motivation once I have re-adjusted to them. I'm not a great patient, I have a hx of being non-complaint with taken them. Not the worst thing, I suppose but, I am a bit excited to hopefully feel a difference in my mental status. The world is still crazy but, I do feel decent about where I am getting my news from. Coming across a lot of paywalls though, normally this (paywalls) bothers me to no end but, I can recoginize that these sources are less likley to be finacially backed by cooperations. Still, I'm not exactly rolling in dough. My cats are looking at me like it's about dinner time, which it is, so this is where I will sign off for tonight.

Hello World! I want to do a lot of work on my site today, one I have the day off and two, I'm sick. Needing to kick this before Friday. Just wanted to give a quick update on the below, I'm still building up resources and looking to get data and research from accurate sources. Unfortunately, most things must be taken with a 'grain of salt', can we trust that the data we are seeing is reliable? I suppose, we have no other choice but to work with what is presented and adjust accordingly. More to come...

Been a few days, hasn't it? I have a lot more time now that I'm not using most social media. I have been trying to find good/credible sources to keep up with. Keeping up with reading too. Eventually I would like to make a little library type of page with reviews and reccomendations. I'm currently reading 'Sapiens' by Yuval Noah Harari, it's great. I read it back in high school but I didn't get to read through the whole book or really get the nuance of it. I'm stuck in a bit of an odd spot between feeling like I need to do more and also recognizing that change is a slow process, one that takes time, effort & is often slow to show results. I feel scattered for sure, but I am focusing on learning about policies and how they will directly impact communities. I will probably have more to add later :)

Keeping up with last nights' promise, here is the rest of my opinion on this. I will be deleting and clearing my data on Meta's sites today. Longrun, I think this will be benificial to me but I will miss the community on Tiktok. With Tiktok being banned, I dont see a reason to keep sharing data on sites that I don't belive to be credible or uncensored. This isn't to say that Tiktok was perfect or even a great example of a credible and politically uncensored site, I do think it offered more people to have a voice. Sidenote, it's been a minute since I've needed to express my thoughts on paper vs. verbally. I think it's a bit easier to articulate my thoughts out loud but I'm glad to get the practice and hopefully will see some growth. Apps like Tiktok allows for people to hear diffrent perspectives and hear the emotional stories behind headlines. I think it's done a good job at helping more people see "you are my other me". Make no mistake though, this is why it was banned. Also what is up with Snoop Dogg playing at Trump's weirdo Crypto Ball?!?

Okay, couple of notes...might be a "put on your tinfoil hat moment" but, Tiktok was banned in the US today. When you open the app now theres a message alerting you of the ban. It's got an odd undertone with a note about the app being open to working with the Trump admin. to keep the platform in the US. I think this is just a ploy for Trump to win the hearts of young people, save Tiktok and save free speech. I would be curious to see what a US regulated Tiktok would look like, I have a few thoughts but we shall see. I have a lot more to say but I'm tired, rocking a 14hr shift will do that sometimes. I will be back tomorrow to expand since I think need to write all this out. Promise!

I have today off from work which means I can work on this! I want to have a good set of bones built up before...'TIKTOK' is banned...I know. I truly think that banning apps like 'TikTok' is an act of censorship in the United States and I have lots of concerns for whats to come with the main social medias apps left that are currently in use by the public. I'm looking at you Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and Twitter. My issue with these platforms is they also suck and are run/created/owned by people who suck even more. Maybe this will change since Metas stock has started to plummet after the announce of 'TikToks' ban but once Ol' Zuck announced that 'fact checking' would be removed from the app and replaced with 'community notes', I knew I was out. I also think that Elon Musk or Mr.Beast buying 'TikTok' to make it American owned is so bad and probably worse for American culture than if the app were to just get banned and removed. Eitherway, I dont want to particpate in something I no longer think is useful for society.

I suppose this is more of a rant than a traditional post but, to be fair, this was the intention of this site. Just because I no longer want to support sites run by those like Musk and Zuckerburg doesn't mean that I will be complacent or don't still have a lot to say. I will have a more classic post soon but for now, I'm amped up. It will be okay, have a good day!
